Afyon Kocatepe University (AKU) hosted the training activities for the preparation and implementation of the TUBITAK-BIDEB 2237-B Project Education Support Program under the coordination of the Nature Conservation Bio-Monitoring Application and Research Center. The training titled "1 Idea, 1 Project in Life Sciences" was held at the AFBEL hotel with the participation of 25 academics from 15 universities in the fields of Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technological Sciences, Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities. Providing information about the training, the Director of the Nature Conservation Bio-Monitoring Application and Research Center, Prof. Dr. Uğur Cengiz Erişmiş, stated that the aim of the Life Science Project Preparation Training organized with the support of the TUBITAK-BIDEB "2237-B Project Education Support Program" was to provide necessary infrastructure training for lecturers who have completed their PhDs or have been successful in their qualification exams at Afyon Kocatepe University and other universities, as well as for employees working in public institutions, to prepare and present research projects supported by TUBITAK. Erişmiş mentioned that the aim is also to contribute to the development of the project preparation tradition. Erişmiş stated that with the support programs of TUBITAK, the aim is to increase the interest of researchers, strengthen their self-confidence, improve their research skills, enhance their inclination for team activities, and provide them with techniques to more easily determine new research topics in the future. Erişmiş also said, "In the field of life sciences, which are considered pioneering scientific disciplines in our era, including Molecular Biology, Molecular Ecology, Toxicology, Molecular Cell Biology, Microbial Biology (Immunomagnetic Separation), Cancer Modeling, and Molecular Systematics, the aim is to develop the basic knowledge and skills of academics from different branches who are interested in preparing scientific research projects, create awareness, and increase consciousness by contributing to the studies conducted in our country." The training concluded after the general evaluation.
