Anadolu University has participated in the '2023 NAFSA International Education Conference and Fair', which is the world's largest education summit held in Washington DC, USA.

Under the concept of 'Inspiring an Inclusive Future', more than 40 participants from 16 universities attended the 'Study in Turkey' pavilion established by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) Education Economy Business Council at the event which is held for the 75th time this year. Anadolu University was represented by Prof. Dr. Bilge Kağan Özdemir, Director of the International Relations Unit, and Öğr. Gör. Gamze Alper, Deputy Director. During the conference, as in previous years, collaboration meetings were held with partner universities and other higher education institutions both in Europe and other countries worldwide.



Representatives also attended the 'Turkish-American University Partnership Program Workshop and Reception'

Anadolu University representatives, while conducting meetings with higher education institutions around the world, also participated in many important events. In this context, Anadolu University also attended the workshop and reception titled 'Turkish-American University Partnership Program', which was hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Washington and in cooperation with the United States Department of Education. Turkish and American higher education systems were introduced at the reception, which was attended by Hasan Murat Mercan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Washington, Scott Weinhold, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs, Prof. Dr. İrfan Gündüz, President of DEİK/EEİK, Prof. Dr. Naci Gündoğan, Member of the Executive Board of YÖK, and Zeliha Koçak Tufan, Education Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Washington.

Established in 1948, NAFSA - Association of International Educators is an international education association serving the needs of over 10,000 members and international educators at more than 3,500 institutions in over 150 countries worldwide. Every year, many Turkish higher education institutions attend the 'NAFSA International Education Conference and Fair' held in the USA both individually and under the 'Study in Turkey' Pavilion. The conference contributes both to maintaining communication and collaboration with existing partners and to increasing our international visibility.
